NexGard Spectra is a chewable tablet used for the treatment of fleas and ticks as well as prevention of heartworm disease in dogs. The oral tablet is also useful for the treatment of gut worms including roundworms, hookworms and whipworms. It gives protection against fleas for up to five weeks and controls ticks for up to four weeks. The monthly treatment is a highly palatable chew and easy to administer. The broad spectrum treatment controls most of the external and internal parasites in dogs.

Nexgard Spectra Chewable Tablet contains two powerful ingredients ?C Milbemycin Oxime and Afoxolaner. The active ingredient Afoxolaner is an insecticide and acaricide. It kills fleas before egg production and prevents household from heavy flea contamination. Afoxolaner kills adult fleas as well as adult ticks. It can be used for the treatment strategy of flea allergy dermatitis. The other ingredient Milbemycin oxime is an antiparasitic endectocide. It kills intestinal worms and immature form of heartworms. Nexgard Spectra Dogs interferes with the way that signals are passed between nerve cells (neurotransmission) in the nervous system of parasites, resulting in paralysis and elimination of the parasites. Monthly treatment protects dogs from the multiple parasitic infestation.

Safety

Keep the tablets in the blister pack until required and store the blister packs in the outer carton.

It works great on our husky and he has a really thick coat and so the topical flea and tick protection doesn't work well. We live in a high tick area and since we started using no ticks have attached to him and no fleas! LOVE LOVE LOVE this product.

After years of using Frontline, my WPG became immune to it. I was not comfortable giving him Trifexis, because he would not eat it readily, due to the taste/smell. I was hesitant to use NexGard, because it was so new. After my vet's recommendation, I gave it a try. He gobbled up the chewable tablet and the fleas went away (with no adverse reaction).

We experienced a terrible tick infestation in our yard and on our 9 year old German Shepherd. We did everything for several weeks to try to get rid of them. We applied Advantix, purchased a Preventic collar, bathed the dog weekly, sprayed the house and yard multiple times and no luck! That is until I saw an advertisement about the new Nexgard. After 24 hours of giving this to our dog, we found so many dead ticks on the floor the next morning. Just a few days later, our tick problem seems to be almost completely gone! We see a few here and there but they are not surviving. Trooper is happy again and showed no signs of any side effects on this product at all! We are thrilled with the results!

This was recommended by my vet for our 85lb dog. We live in a wooded area & have had difficulty with ticks in the past so I was hesitant. It works great! Our dog gobbles it up & no fleas or ticks in our 2 months of usage. I would highly recommend this medication.
